Social Value Policy
Our commitment to creating positive social, economic, and environmental outcomes.
Published: 22 March 2026
This policy sets out the approach of Elysium Ltd to creating social value through our business activities, supplier relationships, and conduct as an employer. It applies to the financial year ending 31 March 2026 and will be reviewed annually.
Our Organisation
Elysium Ltd is a technology services company registered in England and Wales (company number 2632587), with its registered office at Suite 1, 1-3 Warren Court, Park Road, Crowborough, East Sussex, TN6 2QX. Founded in 1991, we provide IT consultancy, managed services, and software solutions to business clients across the United Kingdom.
Our Commitment
We recognise that as a business we have a responsibility that extends beyond the services we deliver. Social value is about the broader impact — positive and negative — that our activities have on people, communities, and the environment. We are committed to understanding that impact and, where possible, improving it.
As a small business, we approach social value in a way that is proportionate to our size and realistic about what we can achieve. We do not make commitments we cannot keep, but we do take our responsibilities seriously.
Social Value Priorities
We have identified 4 areas where we believe we can make a meaningful contribution:
- Supporting our community — contributing to the local and professional communities in which we operate.
- Environmental responsibility — reducing the environmental impact of our operations.
- People and inclusion — maintaining a fair, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
- Ethical procurement — choosing suppliers and partners who share our values.
Our Commitments
Supporting Our Community
- We seek to recruit locally where possible and support employment in the communities where we operate.
- We support staff who wish to undertake voluntary or charitable activities and encourage participation in skills-based volunteering.
- Where we have capacity, we are willing to offer pro bono or reduced-rate advice to small charities or community organisations with genuine technology needs.
Environmental Responsibility
- We seek to minimise unnecessary travel and favour remote working and digital collaboration where practical.
- We give preference to cloud and energy-efficient infrastructure over on-premises hardware where technically appropriate.
- We reduce paper usage and manage our physical waste responsibly, including the disposal of IT equipment through certified recycling or donation.
- We will work to understand our carbon footprint and identify opportunities to reduce it over time.
People and Inclusion
- We are committed to fair and equal treatment of all employees and job applicants, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
- We pay all employees at or above the National Living Wage and review pay regularly.
- We support flexible working arrangements where operationally practicable, recognising the role flexibility plays in improving wellbeing and enabling broader participation in the workforce.
- We maintain a clear grievance procedure and encourage employees to raise concerns without fear of reprisal.
Ethical Procurement
- We seek to work with suppliers who demonstrate responsible business practices.
- We give reasonable preference to UK-based suppliers and, where relevant, small and medium-sized enterprises.
- We aim to pay suppliers promptly in accordance with agreed terms.
- We do not knowingly engage with suppliers involved in exploitation, discrimination, or significant environmental harm.
Our Supply Chain
Our supply chains consist primarily of licensed software and cloud platform providers, hardware suppliers, professional services firms, and office and facilities suppliers. The majority are established UK or multinational businesses. We communicate our expectations regarding ethical conduct and, where a supplier relationship is material, we consider their approach to social and environmental responsibility as part of our evaluation.
Governance and Review
This policy has been approved by the Board of Directors of Elysium Ltd. Responsibility for overseeing its implementation rests with senior management. We will review this policy annually, assess our progress against the commitments set out above, and update it to reflect changes in our business or external expectations.
We will not use this policy as a marketing tool or make claims about our social value performance that are not supported by evidence. Our aim is continuous, honest improvement.
