Current Available Roles

As a Junior Developer you will be directly involved in the design, development and delivery of new features as well as the maintenance and improvement of our live applications. Your opinions and contributions to the analysis and design process will be expected and valued, it is of great importance to us that we have input from the whole team.

Our language of choice is Ruby on Rails although we will tailor every implementation to the requirements of the project at hand.

Your skills:

  • Detailed knowledge of an object orientated programming language
  • Familiarity with relational database design

You will:

  • Improve and maintain our existing code base
  • Be instrumental in designing and developing new features and products
  • Rise to individual challenges and collaborate effectively in groups
  • Have a genuine interest in web development, and a passion for quality

We will:

  • Provide mentoring and support to further your personal development
  • Maintain a friendly, social working environment
  • Provide entertainment facilities and breakout space

The position will be at our office in the centre of Crowborough, seconds from the high street with access to regular bus routes.

Our ideal candidate has commercial experience in a similar setting and can hit the ground running. You will be become a key player in maintaining our high standards for customer deliverables by writing and reviewing high quality code as well as contributing to elegant solution design. Our products include recruitment systems, career development tools, psychological study suites and more, generally delivered via the web and built upon strong data structures. You will challenge potential solutions to ensure that the product not only meets the specification but excels when further updates are made.

Your responsibilities:

  • To support and develop our existing software products.
  • To be instrumental in new developments.
  • To work individually and responsibly on smaller projects.
  • To learn how everyone takes their tea (we take it in turns!)

Our responsibilities:

  • To provide an environment suitable for further learning and your development.
  • To ensure that members of the team are protected from client requests yet encouraged to get involved.

Elysium are looking for a project administrator to join our software development team. We want you to be excited by the idea of a career in technology but with experience that demonstrates organisation over technical ability. We expect the technical learning curve to be steep but for administration to be your speciality. We believe we have the team to support your learning and help you grow into the role.

Ideal applicants will have the following qualities:

  • Be organised, analytical and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ideally demonstrated by degree level education..
  • Persistent. Eager to drive outcomes rather than waiting for resolution.

Whilst we need a full-time role filled, we would consider flexible working requirements. A job share could work and we're open to flexibility in and around school holidays if required.
